These candidates should have secured a minimum CGPA of 8 or equivalent apart from a minimum score of 650 in the respective GATE subject, or a UGC/CSIR JRF rank of 100 or less, or those with NBHM fellowship. Or five year undergraduate-postgraduate dual degree programs in Science and Technology streams from any other Institute/University recognized in India, not covered in 1(a) above. OR (b) completed or be pursuing the final year of four (or five) year undergraduate or five year integrated M.Tech. For applicants in the five year integrated or dual degree programs, if separate CGPAs/CPIs are awarded for UG and PG parts of the program, the CGPA/CPI of the UG part (first four years) will be considered. These hours may negatively impact a student's maximum timeframe.įor additional information contact the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships or review Ohio University's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (PDF).ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE Candidates can apply for PMRF through two channels: DIRECT ENTRY CHANNEL To apply for PMRF through this channel, the candidate must satisfy all of the following criteria: (1) The applicant should have satisfied one of the following criteria in the preceding three years from the date of submission of the application : (a) completed or be pursuing the final year of four (or five) year undergraduate or five year integrated M.Tech. Transfer hours will benefit a student's completion percentage. Transfer hours count as hours both attempted and earned. If the student fails the course the first time and receives a C the second time, five credit hours are counted as earned. For example, if a student takes Math 1000 twice and it is a five credit hour course, 10 credit hours will be counted as attempted. Repeated courses are counted each time they are taken when calculating completion percentage. Courses with different lengths have varying add/drop dates. The end of the add/drop period for a regular semester course is the 2nd Friday of the semester. Students who withdraw from a course after the end of the add/drop period will negatively impact their completion percentage. Course completion percentage must be raised to 67%. To resolve a GPA deficiency, the student must raise the GPA to 2.00 (for undergraduates) or 3.0 (for graduates). In lieu of an approved appeal, financial aid eligibility can only be regained when a student resolves all deficiencies at his or her own expense. Students who have an approved appeal will have their financial aid eligibility reinstated for a period of time that should allow the student to resolve all deficiencies.Īt the end of this financial aid extension, the student must be meeting all SAP requirements and must not exceed the maximum time frame listed. Appeals must be received within the first 13 weeks of the semester to be considered for aid reinstatement for that semester.The decisions of the SAP committee are final.Students are only allowed to appeal one time per academic career (undergraduate and graduate).Major changes and double majors are not acceptable reasons to appeal.Student and advisor must sign the SAP Appeal Form (PDF) and the academic plan. Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements Any student who fails to meet one of the requirements will lose all financial aid eligibility.
